Incidence of Cardiovascular disease

 We are living in the era where incidence of Cardiovascular disease are exponentially increasing. The incidence drastically increased in the last 20 - 30 years in India. There are many factors which contributes to the development of heart diseases.

Risk factors:

Lifestyle modification is the major cause of Cardiovascular diseases. Sitting in one place for a long time, lack of exercise, increased junk foods, poor nutrition balance, sedantary, stress, metabolic disorders, endocrine disorders, increased steroid intake contributes to the development many diseases.

Sedantary lifestyle:

Nowadays human beings are forced to live in a sedantary lifestyle. Most of employment are based on memory/mind not on body power. So, a common man has to work hard by their mind not by body. These lifestyle present in metropolitan cities. In village, people are working on lands using their body work. This keeps their body healthy and out from unwanted fat . That's why village people are less vulverable to ischemic heart diseases.

Trauma/ stress: 

It is an important contributor of myocardial infarction, angina and other diseases. Sudden trauma can increase the blood pressure causing repute of blood vessels ultimately leading to ischemic and stroke. It is not possible to get rid of from stress but we can reduce this for our well being.

Obesity:

The above factors with increased food intake cause obesity. Obesity is the staring point of various diseases. If a person has obesity then his vulverablity for diseases is high.  Diet control and minimum cardio exercise can decrease the obesity.

Dietary management:

Eating lot of junk foods and lack of exercise are the foremost cause of developing diabetic mellitus. One should add enough greens and vegetables to the diet. Packed foods contain high amount of fats which may deposit on arteries leads to atherosclerosis.

Metabolic disorders:

Diabetics and hypertension are the metabolic disorders associated with obesity. Diabetic mellitus is the most common metabolic disorders to cause death. Reduction in the above factors can decrease complications. Once diabetics and hypertension had occurred it never be cured but it can be controlled. Ischemic heart diseases are always present in severe DM.

Endocrine disfunction:

Every hormone is responsible for the maintenance of homeostasis. E
When the hormonal changes occurs the equilibrium gets broken. Any injury or cancer to the endocrine glands also produces cardiovascular diseases. Thyroid, adrenal and pituitary are most important.

Summary:

Living healthy life is the biggest wealth. Reduction in risk factors can decrease the further complications. Avoiding sedantary lifestyle and healthy food and exercises in day to day is the best medicine.
